Areas of Practice

Our firm handles immigration legal matters in the following practice areas:

- I-129F (K-1) Petitions for Alien Fiancé(e) [fiancé(e) visas];

- I-130 Petitions for Alien Relative;

- K-3/K-4 Visa Applications;

- I-485 Applications to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status;

- I-131 Applications for Travel Document (Advance Parole);

- I-765 Applications for Employment Authorization (EAD Card); and

- I-751 Petitions to Remove the Conditions of Residence.

U.S. Embassy interview assistance is also available to clients upon approval of their petitions for an additional legal fee.  Services include, but are not limited to, preparation of:

- DS-156 Nonimmigrant Visa Applications;

- DS-156K Nonimmigrant Fiancé(e) Visa Applications;

- DS-157 Supplemental Nonimmigrant Visa Applications; and

- DS-230 Applications for Immigrant Visa and Alien Registration.

Those individuals who have the option of marrying abroad or bringing their future spouse to the United States on a fiancé(e) visa, the fiancé(e) visa is preferable.  The fiancé(e) visa takes a shorter period of time to be approved and the K-1 visa being issued, thereby enabling the U.S. citizen and his fiancé(e) to be reunited quicker.  The fiancé(e) visa also provides the parties involved with a 90 day time frame in which to marry.  This provides the parties with sufficient time in which to plan the wedding they desire.  Unlike the fiancé(e) visa, should the parties decide to marry abroad, each country has their own marriage and residency requirements that have to be met prior to the issuance of a marriage license and subsequent wedding, much of which is extremely burdensome.

Whether you met your fiancé(e) or spouse through the internet, during travel abroad or in the United States, our firm can make your dream of a life together a reality.  Our firm has experience with most U.S. Embassies world wide, including, but not limited to, Manila, Philippines; Guangzhou, China; Montreal and Vancouver, Canada; Bogota, Colombia: Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Ciudad Juarez, Mexico; Kingston, Jamaica; Moscow, Russia; Kyiv, Ukraine; Tel Aviv, Israel; Paris, France; London, United Kingdom; Ankara, Turkey; Sydney, Australia; Jakarta, Indonesia; Bangkok, Thailand; Cairo, Egypt; Islamabad, Pakistan; Warsaw, Poland; etc…

For those individuals who are contemplating submitting a fiancé(e) visa Petition themselves, it is important to keep in mind that, while most K-1 Petitions are eventually approved by the USCIS if properly submitted with the required supporting documentation, it is at the U.S. Embassy interview where most of the problems occur.  It is therefore instructive to note that even seasoned attorneys have retained our firm to process their fiancé(e) visa (K-1) Petitions.

    Michael,

    I want to take time to thank you for all you have done for Xuening and I. Today marks the 3rd year anniversary of her coming to the United States. When we started the process many years back I was skeptical of hiring an attorney from a web site. Well my friend you sure changed my mind in a hurry. From the first time we talked I felt right at home with you and during the time to go through the process you was always on top of things. You always told me that things were going to be OK, just be patient. After almost a year Xuening and I’s dream became a reality and we owe it to you and your dedication to us, your clients (friends.)

    We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being there when we needed you. I hope that I can, someday repay the kindness you have shown us. We appreceiate the hard work and dedication to us during the process and were so glad that we found you. I am not not of a writer and I do not know how to say things so they sound right but I hope you know what I am trying to say, it comes from the heart. We are forever grateful to you and your firm.

    Thank You Michael,
    Dave & Xuening Bates

    Hi Michael,

    I just wanted to thank you all this time. It was really hard for Rodrigo and I to trust in someone we did not know. You made everything much easier; you accepted to meet us at your house, answered every single question we had with a lot of patience, and really fast.

    I just had the interview last week and everything was perfect. They didn’t ask anything else (just the papers you gave me) and a few more questions. It was so fast and without any problems. I am sure it was because of the way you did it. Thank you very much again and, when I arrive to the U.S., we will let you know and set a meeting!

    Xxxx has been keeping me informed about what you are trying to do. When I did for my husband I spoke to a lot of immigration attorney’s and Mike was really the most honest direct person I had talked to, he did not over promise or lie, got the job done and my husband a 28 year old Muslim man from Egypt was able to be here in 9 months. Mike knows the system and will do his personal best to get it done.

    Please call him and talk to him: Michael Poles # 251-340-1991 or email him at K1visas@bellsouth.net
    I sent him this email too so he knows what you have been told.

    I wish you the best let me know if you need more help.

    Mike,

    You are the man! Once again you got everything right! WE ARE APPROVED OUT OF MANY REFUSALS TODAY!SHE SAID THE ONLY APPROVAL TODAY!

    Today my wife was the only one out of maybe 50 interviewing that was approved! My final day of visiting her, Saturday, I talked with many more other Americans that were refused for various reasons, wife couldn’t talk enough English, income a little low, not enough trips to visit wife in China to establish relationship, need more notorized copies of this or that. Everything from not enough photos to no real relationship! IT WAS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE IT SEEMED! Very Very few approvals! YOU DID IT AGAIN FOR ME AND I THANK YOU FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK AND DILLIGENCE!

    It is 1:00 a.m. and I just thought I would e-mail you and thank you again, I just heard the news! I value your friendship and extra work that went beyond your legal duty. We have finished the task at hand!

    Hi, Mike.

    Over the weekend we received Pilar’s permanent residency card. So that was pretty fast—under two months from the time you submitted the petition to the time we received the card. ¡Bravo! Thanks again for all your help.

    Best regards,

    Bob

    FYI:

    From what I understand Gloria received a verbal approval for her visa within a few minutes of the start of her interview. They complimented her on having all of the correct information and were very impressed by how everything was organized and prepared. She is expecting the visa to be delivered to her within 10 days. I am expecting her to be in in the USA and with me within few days of her receiving the visa. We have not made the plane reservations yet pending when she actually gets the visa.

    As you once said, I must live a gifted life and you have helped alot. I think all of the above is due to your efforts to help us and I thank you so much. I owe you pictures of her arrival and the marriage, then we will start the next steps to keep us together.

    I will keep up updated on how everything moves forward.

    Thanks again and go have a smoke and a drink for a job well done……..

    Rye

    Hi Michael,

    Today I received notice that Jinky’s I-129 F petition was approved. I’m astounded and delighted that this happenned so quickly. Several weeks ago I skimmed through her embassy documents and instructions but will now carefully review them and undoubtedly have questions for you. I intend to be present for Jinky’s interview.

    The approval would not have happenned so quickly, or perhaps at all, without your efforts. Thank you so much.
