Having been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers’ Association since January 11, 2007, and having disagreed with many of the stances taken by said association on numerous issues of importance to my clients, I have decided not to renew my membership with the association. At my departure, I was in good standing with the association. My departure is based upon the belief that politics and posturing have no part in family immigration matters nor will it with my firm. No political pressure from any lobbyist group or association will influence my practice, nor will my membership association fees be applied to those immigration matters I believe counter-productive to the interests of my clients.
